For the first time at #DXB, we handled more than 50,000 local checked in bags in a single day with zero mishandling, an amazing achievement at the world’s busiest international airport. During DXB Zero Week, a focused operational initiative to ensure every bag checked in at DXB travelled on its intended flight with its owner, this milestone was achieved over a 24-hour period. Across the week, more than 250,000 bags were handled, with only 7 mishandled. This equates to a success rate of 99.996%, a level of performance that significantly outperforms global industry benchmarks. At DXB’s scale, where tens of millions of bags are processed each year, this performance is built on precise coordination across the oneDXB community - airlines, ground handlers and service partners - supported by real-time systems and disciplined execution. The achievement builds on sustained performance across the network. In 2025, DXB handled 86.75 million bags, its highest annual baggage volume on record, with a world-class baggage mishandled rate of 2.47 per 1,000 passengers and baggage delivery for DXB customers of 92% of bags delivered within 45 minutes.
