Data centers are the backbone of modern digital infrastructure – powering everything from cloud computing and AI to critical business operations. Behind the scenes, they are highly complex environments, dependent on parallel construction activities and synchronised IT equipment supply chains. This demands tightly coordinated logistics across the entire lifecycle. At Datasenterdagen (Data Center Day) in Norway this week, our specialist teams explored these exact challenges alongside industry leaders. “Limited supply chain visibility and slow issue resolution remain some of the biggest challenges for data center operators,” says Gaurav Ananya, Managing Director of DSV’s Integrated Logistics Management Team (ILMT). He adds: “By developing our Integrated Logistics Management Team, we replace fragmented approaches with a control tower integrated directly into the master schedule, providing end‑to‑end visibility, faster issue resolution and more predictable execution from supplier to data center.” The conversations at Datasenterdagen reinforced how critical integrated, schedule‑driven logistics have become in data center environments.
