Should arachidonic acid (ARA) still be included in infant formula? The answer is undoubtedly yes! Breastmilk, the gold standard for infant nutrition, contains both docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and ARA. Infants cannot make these fatty acids at the levels their development demands, so they must obtain them from breast milk or formula. But inclusion alone isn't enough. The balance matters, too. Evidence shows that infant development outcomes are generally more favorable when ARA is included at levels equal to or greater than DHA in infant formula. Some studies have even found that cognitive benefits disappear when DHA exceeds ARA in formula, underscoring why the ratio is so important. 💡 Explore the benefits of our life'sDHA® and life's®ARA microbial oils 👉 https://bit.ly/44GGmzI #InfantNutrition #EarlyLifeNutrition #ARA #DHA #InfantFormula
