The new edition of our Futureproofs is here! For us 2025 demonstrated what becomes possible when people commit fully together, turning complexity into clarity. In the FUTUREPROOFS 25/26, we at Drees & Sommer look back at the past year and share a wide range of project examples that demonstrate what’s possible when people take decisive action. We also share highlights from real estate, infrastructure, and industry, as well as look ahead to a future defined by change and opportunity.     Three highlights: 1️⃣ The opening of Terminal 3 brought one of Germany’s most significant infrastructure projects into operation. For almost two decades, we helped guide this large-scale construction project at Frankfurt Airport and provided project management, construction management and tenant coordination to keep a highly complex site on course. 2️⃣ The steel industry is taking concrete steps with us towards a smaller footprint. Through the SALCOS program, Salzgitter AG is transitioning to hydrogen-based steel production, targeting up to 95% lower CO2 emissions by 2033. On site, our teams manage implementation and ensure smooth operations during ongoing production. 3️⃣ A German first in multi-integrated project delivery (Multi-IPA), the Havelufer Quarter transformed the listed Hertlein site in Berlin-Spandau. After four years of construction, the project now comprises around 1,700 apartments across 16 new buildings and four listed structures. We supported the development through every phase of service.
