Shaping a New Benchmark for Green Logistics|Schaeffler Central Logistics Center Earns DGNB Gold Certification Following the DGNB Gold certification achieved by Schaeffler Taicang New Campus, Schaeffler Central Logistics Center has now been awarded the DGNB Gold Certification under Logistics Category. This milestone marks another solid step forward in the company’s journey toward sustainable industrial development. 🏭 Strategic Location: Situated at the intersection of two major arterial roads and directly opposite Schaeffler production plants, the center benefits from exceptional accessibility. This strategic positioning boosts efficiency and helps reduce emissions from logistics operations. 🌿 Biophilic Design: By integrating intelligent skylight systems, the logistics center maximizes natural daylight and elevates overall indoor environmental quality. With light flowing in naturally, even a logistics center can feel vibrant and alive. ☀️ Rooftop Photovoltaic System: For logistics buildings, the rooftop is often one of the most valuable renewable‑energy assets—unobstructed, continuous, and structurally robust, making it ideal for large‑scale photovoltaic installations. Leveraging this advantage, the project utilizes approximately 30,000 square meters of rooftop area to install high‑efficiency solar panels. The system converts abundant sunlight into clean electricity, providing renewable energy for daily operations and significantly reducing carbon emissions. It transforms the logistics center from a simple energy consumer into an active producer of green power. 💧 Water Stewardship: Beyond energy, water resources are also managed with precision. The logistics center is equipped with a comprehensive rainwater collection and treatment system. Collected rainwater is purified and reused for landscape irrigation and facility operations, enabling true circular water use. This approach greatly improves water efficiency, reduces reliance on municipal supply, and ensures that resources circulate effectively within the campus. #DGNB #GreenLogistics #sustainable
