The most meaningful tools are born when scientists ask what else their research can do - beyond the lab and a published paper. That’s what led us to start Virilitas Labs: the belief that research shouldn’t end at publication. Bridging the gap between research and application is never straightforward. In a field where the spotlight has historically been on women, driving change in #MaleFertility takes great science, persistence, and a community that believes in the mission. I’m incredibly grateful for the support from the University of East Anglia and the wider Norwich Research Park ecosystem. This recognition at the Innovation & Impact Awards 2025 means a lot, not just for our team, but for the broader vision we’re building. We’re only at the beginning. But this moment reminds us why we started: because research with purpose can, and should, reach the real world.
