Direct search is not about finding available candidates. It is more about identifying the relevant ones. That is a different starting point. For senior leadership roles, the strongest profiles are normally not actively looking. They are employed. They are performing. They are willing to listen, but don´t have to change. A structured search therefore starts in the market. Define target companies. Identify the appropriate hierarchical level. Direct approach. The goal is not to create a large number of CVs. The goal is to reach the right people. And be able to assess whether there is real fit.
