Driving Innovation - Empowering Partnerships As 2025 draws to a close, we at the SGC look back on a year defined by our shared chamber commitment to "Driving Innovation, Empowering Partnerships". In a global environment shaped by geopolitical uncertainty, evolving trade policies and increasing complexity in long-term planning, collaboration has become more important than ever. Throughout the year, the Singaporean-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce / AHK Singapur worked closely with its members and partners to provide orientation, enable exchange and support practical strategies to navigate these challenges with confidence. This commitment came to life through our committees and dialogue formats, where members actively addressed topics ranging from supply-chain resilience and AI opportunities to market entry strategies in Singapore and across ASEAN. Some highlights from 2025 include: - Our German Week Singapore, including events such as “AI in Action: From Idea to Impact”, fostering dialogue on digital innovation - Delegation trips and conferences across sectors such as water management, textiles & fashion, hydrogen, energy efficiency and biotech, creating opportunities for business matchmaking and market access - Our SGC Forum “Reality Check”, enabling open discussions on leadership, digital tools and intergenerational collaboration - Publications and surveys, including our Location Factors Report and our Business Sentiment Survey, supporting strategic decision-making - Numerous networking and dialogue formats, from Meet the CEO and committee meetings to social highlights such as our festive Ball None of the activities and progress we achieved this year would have been possible without the strong commitment, expertise and dedication of the SGC Board (Shirley Qi, Jens Ruebbert, Holger Lindner, Dr. Claus Trenner, Burkhard Ziegenhorn, Eileen Chua, Maximilian Englisch, Hui-Chin KEW, Sojung Lee, Marcel Luis Mustelier Perez, Sam Chee Wah) and Advisory Council (Bettina Fanghänel, Felipe Bonifatti, Clarence Hoe, Tanja Jesemann, Manohar Khiatani, Benedict Kothe, Mak Swee Wah, Torsten Mau, Alexander Melchers BBM, Tan Kai Ping, Dr. Thai Lai Pham, Tom Wolf). A big thank you also to all Chairs and members of our SGC Committees, the entire SGC team, our Members, Gold Members and partners, as well as our close institutional partners including DIHK and the IHKs, Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, Germany Trade & Invest, German Embassy Singapore, Singapore Embassy in Germany, Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and Enterprise Singapore, for their continued trust and support.
