Beamline Scientist at DESY
A research article published in 'Nature' is always something special. I'm thrilled to share that this is the second time our team ( DESY, PETRA III P61B-Large Volume Press ) has reached that milestone! When I began my scientific career at GE Plastics in 2004 (now SABIC Innovative Plastics B.V.) staff scientist, Prof. Dr. Savio Sebastian, once told me during a one-on-one meeting: "Shrikant, you may not win many medals, awards, or other forms of recognition as a scientist. Don't worry about those things. Instead, aim to publish at least one paper in Nature or Science during your career. It's a difficult goal to achieve, but incredibly fulfilling." At the time, I appreciated the advice, but today I truly understand what he meant. I'm excited to share our latest Nature article on one of my favorite topics—diamonds! This work was carried out in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Tanja Weil and her outstanding team at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz. Here is the link to the article in Nature : https://rdcu.be/frFyE I am also happy to note that the DESY website has featured a highlight on this Nature publication, which is a wonderful recognition of the work : https://lnkd.in/en_hjKHV I am deeply grateful to all of my collaborators and co-authors who made this achievement possible.
