I am delighted to share that my article on Han Schröder's formative years in Switzerland and Portugal has been published in the Arena Journal of Architecture. This article explores her studies at ETH Zürich and her correspondence with Siegfried Giedion and Carola Giedion-Welcker. Architectural history has traditionally focused on celebrated buildings and individuals, but what becomes visible when we instead pay attention to relationships, conversations and collaborations? I hope this article contributes to ongoing conversations about feminist historiography in architecture and to the value of archives in uncovering overlooked histories.
