Today, I want to honour Benjamin Zander - a man who fundamentally shifted how I see the world. I first encountered Ben (and his late wife Roz) through 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘼𝙧𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙋𝙤𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮, a book that became the foundation of so much of my work. Later, I had the privilege of working with them to re-ignite a conversation of possibility in South Africa – an experience that touched thousands of lives and eventually led to #PartnersforPossibility. Ben introduced us to the KPI for leadership: “𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘦𝘺𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳. 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵, 𝘢𝘴𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧: 𝘞𝘩𝘰 𝘢𝘮 𝘐 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘦𝘺𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨?” At 86, Ben continues to inspire as a radiant example of what it means to lead with joy, wisdom, and possibility.
