Apparently, I was the world's #1 AI in Education researcher in 2024. 🏆 Don't believe me? Neither do I — but Dr Niti Mittal and colleagues ran the numbers on 1,671 Scopus articles (2015–2024), and here we are. Congratulations to my brilliant friends and co-conspirators Shannon Tan, Samson Tan (Dr), Joseph Crawford, Dr. Stefan Popenici, Dr Mike Perkins, and Dr Jasper Roe — also firmly ensconced in the article's top tier. Key highlights from Dr Niti Mittal et al.'s bibliometric study: 📈 AI-in-education publications nearly tripled in a single year (353 → 927 from 2023 to 2024) — yes, ChatGPT broke the internet and academia 🌍 USA, China, and UK lead output; the Netherlands and Hong Kong punch hardest per paper 🔥 Hottest themes: academic integrity, GenAI, AI ethics, and authentic assessment 🏫 Tecnológico de Monterrey tops institutional contributions As Churchill never said: "Never trust a bibliometric analysis you didn't commission yourself." Thank you, Dr Niti Mittal, Geetanjali Batra, and Rajeev S., for highlighting my humble work.
