Global Head of Data & AI at Kaufland
EnBW celebrates their #data4business day each year. They not just assemble data people but rather invite the broad company public to participate, to contribute, to get informed and inspired, ... This year I had to honor to contribute the opening keynote, right after the opening remarks of EnBW’s CEO Georg Nikolaus Stamatelopoulos. My personal takeaway from my own talk: EnBW folks also have a preference for both cake & data, not just for high voltage and alternating current. Some other learnings that I took back with me from #Karlruhe to #Heilbronn: - Georg Nikolaus Stamatelopoulos: great example of an approachable CEO. On the one hand, he has a clear vision how important #data and #AI will become over the next years. On the other hand he’s very transparent that also he has still a lot to learn when it comes to all those innovations that sometimes overwhelm us and that he needs both experts and the company as a whole to succeed with #data & #AI - Dr. René Deist emphasized how important it is that AI empowers people instead of replacing them. There is a lot of uncertainty and complexity around AI and we need to make sure that we take employees with us on the journey to successfully using AI - I appreciate every conversation with Rainer Hoffmann because while there is a lot we can learn from each other across industries, the challenges we are facing regarding #data & #AI are similar (data quality, change management, managing the hype etc.) - this was also confirmed by the insights that Christine Legner contributed from other firms of the CDQ network - Silke Walter reminded all these data nerds and geeks in a very charming way how important it is to speak a language that everybody understands - if data & AI is supposed to succeed #Kaufland Kaufland
