Thank you VERBUND, for inviting me to this iteration of inspire, where Michael Strugl, Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer, Christa Schlager and I, moderated by Corinna Milborn, discussed the Austrian Industrial Energy Strategy. Those are the main points: ➡️ industrial electricity prices are still a challenge in Europe. ➡️ RES expansion can help, but needs to be done right. ➡️ flexible demand is what industry can do itself ➡️ electricity price support can help further ➡️ the electricity system will be more of a fixed-cost system going forward, so the electricity quantities that industrials consume, can help in bringing overall costs down
