I am pleased to share that my latest research article has been published: "An Integrated AHP–AI Model for Assessing and Reusing Historic Buildings: A Case Study of Fuwa City, Egypt." This research proposes an integrated decision-support framework that combines Artificial Intelligence with the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to improve adaptive reuse decisions for historic buildings. The proposed framework integrates: • CNN-based computer vision for automated structural damage assessment. • AI-driven community clustering to quantify social acceptance. • A conceptual economic feasibility framework (CEFF) for evaluating adaptive reuse scenarios. • A unified AHP model that transforms these AI-generated outputs into transparent and evidence-based decision-making. Rather than viewing Artificial Intelligence as a replacement for architectural expertise, this study demonstrates how AI can become a powerful decision-support tool for heritage conservation, adaptive reuse, and sustainable urban development, particularly in data-scarce environments. I hope this work contributes to the growing discussion on the integration of AI into architecture, heritage conservation, and sustainable development.
