Eco Days at our Łebcz plant Dr. Oetker Polska show how local initiatives can bring people together and offer opportunities to learn more about sustainability topics 🌱 Over the course of a week-long CSR initiative, employees and children from a local residential care facility supported by the plant came together to learn, get involved and take action. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 From day one, participants got hands-on: together with the Choczewo Forest District, they planted trees in Białogóra and learned more about forest regeneration, local tree species and sustainable forest management. 🌳 Another highlight was the visit to the Eco Factory in Wejherowo - a former industrial site transformed into a center for waste collection, reuse and environmental education. Here, our employees explored topics like waste segregation, repair and upcycling, and applied their knowledge in creative workshops using recycled materials. ♻️ The items they created – such as pet beds and scratching posts – are intended to support local animal welfare initiatives. The program continued with a beach clean-up in Kuźnica, combined with learning about bird migration and the work of ornithologists in cooperation with Baltic Action. 🌊 Smaller initiatives throughout the week, such as a clothing swap among employees and a shared baking activity, added a more personal touch and strengthened team spirit.
