During major runway strengthening works at Melbourne Airport, our Transport and Infrastructure team has been exploring how hydrogen can support more sustainable project delivery in a live airport environment. Working with Toyota Motor Corporation Australia, the team demonstrated the EODev GEH2® hydrogen fuel cell generator, providing quiet, reliable off-grid power to the project compound and supporting EV charging onsite. The demonstration highlights how advances in technology are making lower-emission energy solutions increasingly practical and cost-effective, helping project teams meet sustainability goals while operating in complex and highly regulated environments. A great example of collaboration to turn emerging technology into a real-world infrastructure solution. #Downer #Sustainability #Hydrogen #Innovation #Airports #Decarbonisation #MelbourneAirport #TransportAndInfrastructure Callum Bollard, Simon Abrahams Riaan Van Dyk MIEAust CPEng NER Daniel Anile Stuart Billing
