Today, Dow shared an update regarding executive leadership roles. Effective July 1, 2026, Jim Fitterling will step into the role of Executive Chair of the Board, and Karen S. Carter, currently Chief Operating Officer, will become Dow’s Chief Executive Officer and join the Board of Directors. Jim has led Dow through a period of significant transformation, strengthening the company’s strategy, advancing sustainability, and reinforcing a culture grounded in safety, performance, and inclusion. As Executive Chair, he will continue to focus on long-term strategy, governance, and key external relationships. Karen brings more than 30 years of experience at Dow and a deep understanding of the company’s businesses, customers, and operations. She has driven disciplined execution, operational excellence, and value creation across the enterprise, and is widely respected for her sound judgment, customer focus, and ability to lead complex organizations with clarity and consistency.
