It's been a few weeks since my last visit to the R&D Team in Verden, Germany. This time, alongside the usual flow of Innovation review, Town Hall, one-to-ones, the team added a hands-on dimension, giving me a chance to see some of our state-of-the-art capabilities and Pet Centre in action and even prototype myself. Being a proud scientist at heart, and knowing we never fully understand a challenge until we touch it, I really enjoyed it! I was genuinely excited to see how the team is evolving in its use of AI, predictive models and sensory tools to accelerate evaluation coming from fast prototyping and anticipate consumer response — as well as the growing attention to packaging. The seamless collaboration between Global and regional teams deserves a mention too, a real testament to how we need to keep working together. Thank you all for your time, dedication and continued effort to bring remarkable innovations from one of our key centres in the Pet Nutrition Innovation network!
