Local Actor Virtually (Off) Broadway Bound A veteran of over 35 years in regional theatre, Doug hails originally from Hamilton, Ontario Canada but now calls Georgetown home. Career highlights in over 30 musicals for Globe and productions like the pantomime Sleeping Beauty (Century Church Theatre) for which Doug was nominated as “Outstanding Music and Stage Director” by the Association of Community Theatres Central Ontario (ACT-CO). Doug is a retired Principal and French teacher and when not on stage, a DJ/KJ (Karaoke Jockey), an aspiring playwright and has recently kickstarted his TV/Film career, appearing in a commercials and student films in the GTA. He is thrilled to be cast as the “lone Canadian” actor in Riant Theatre’s virtual off-Broadway production of Simon Bowler’s Forger, playing the role of Lt. Gunter Hess, Nazi SS and the Radio Announcer. Much thanks and appreciation to Director Van Kirk Fisher for this opportunity and to an amazing cast of performers in this unique experience.
