For older residents, thermal comfort is not only about convenience — it is a matter of health, safety, and wellbeing. Achieving stable indoor conditions while reducing dependency on air-conditioning will become one of the key challenges of climate-resilient design. Strategies such as activation of thermal mass, passive cooling, and effective cross-ventilation allow buildings to remain comfortable while reducing energy consumption and operational carbon emissions.
