Europe’s Silver Generation is growing rapidly, creating new challenges and opportunities for the way we design housing. Future residential projects must go beyond aesthetics — they need to provide comfortable, healthy, and unique living experiences adapted to an ageing society. For older residents, thermal comfort is not only about convenience — it is a matter of health, safety, and wellbeing. Achieving stable indoor conditions while reducing dependency on air-conditioning will become one of the key challenges of climate-resilient design. Strategies such as activation of thermal mass, passive cooling, and effective cross-ventilation allow buildings to remain comfortable while reducing energy consumption and operational carbon emissions. At Dosta Tec, we have just completed the first stage of supporting a new renovation project in Łódź, helping transform existing buildings into healthier, more resilient, and future-proof residential environments — designed for the needs of the next generations.
