Darf ich euch zwei Persönlichkeiten vorstellen? Das sind Ray und Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen – die ersten beiden Hauptdarsteller aus meinem Podcast „Glow in the Dark – Die Geschichte der Strahlung". Ich trage seit einer Weile mehrere Idee und Projekte mit mir herum: Was, wenn diese Figuren von der Tonspur in die Hand wandern? Als Plüschfiguren bzw. Sammelfiguren (beides wäre möglich und denkbar). Ein leuchtender Ray fürs Regal im Kontrollraum, ein Röntgen-Plüsch als Geschenk für alle, die mit Strahlung arbeiten und sie lieben. Bevor ich in die Produktion gehe, will ich ehrlich sein: Das wird erst real, wenn genug von euch sagen „ja, das hätte ich gern". Plüsch produziert man nicht in Einzelstücken. I've been carrying an idea around for a while: what if these characters stepped off the audio track and into your hands? As plush toys / collectible figures. A glowing Ray for the shelf in the control room, a Röntgen plush as a gift for everyone who works with radiation – and loves it. Before I go into production, let me be honest: this only becomes real if enough of you say “yes, I'd want that". You don't manufacture plush toys one at a time.
