Post 2/21; Where is Home? Or Who are you? What if the hardest journey isn’t finding a place to belong, but discovering who you are? These are two artworks from different series, yet they speak to each other. The first asks, “Where is home?” Is home a place, a memory, a person, or something we carry within ourselves? The second explores identity. The masks we wear. The roles we play. The pieces of ourselves we reveal and the ones we hide. As an artist, I’ve learned that our search for home and our search for identity are often the same journey. Sometimes we spend years looking outward, only to realize the answers have been growing within us all along. Art has a way of asking questions that words alone cannot. What does “home” mean to you? Is it a location, a feeling, the people around you, or your own sense of self?
