What if $5 could save an entire family’s livelihood? Every winter, thousands of open-field farmers wake up to a silent disaster: Frost. In just a few freezing hours, a whole year of hard work, investment, and crops are completely ruined. The traditional solution? Burning agricultural waste to warm the air... which causes massive air pollution and carbon emissions. As a tech enthusiast and developer, I thought: We can do better with IoT. I built an Eco-Friendly Smart Frost & Fungus Alert System using the ESP32 and DHT11. But instead of just reading raw data, I integrated Edge Computing and Agritech logic to create a truly proactive solution: • Smart Frost Alerts: The system calculates the absolute "Dew Point" locally and sends instant Telegram alerts to the farmer when temperatures drop below 4°C. • Fungal Disease Predictor: It tracks microclimate windows (High humidity + moderate temp) to predict fungal outbreaks (like Powdery Mildew) before they even happen. • Chilling Hours Counter: It automatically logs accumulated cold hours, helping farmers track crop dormancy. • 100% Sustainable: The system replaces polluting combustion methods with eco-friendly digital recommendations (smart irrigation timing and biological plant shields). • Ultra Low-Power: By leveraging ESP32 Deep Sleep and RTC memory (RTC_DATA_ATTR), this device can run on a single battery for months. Monitoring is fully customized via a Blynk Mobile & Web Dashboard for seamless data visualization. This project is a small step toward merging Tech, Data, and Sustainability for a greener future in smart agriculture.
