Projectmanager - cross media audience measurement

In Memoriam: JEAN QUATRESOOZ Market Research Pioneer · ESOMAR President · Professor Émérite, Solvay Business School It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Quatresooz on 17 June 2026, at the age of 89. A true pioneer of market research and a figure of lasting influence in the global insights industry, Jean shaped the discipline over more than three decades through intellectual rigour, strategic foresight, and a genuine passion for elevating the standards of marketing science across borders. Beginning in the late 1960s at SOBEMAP, he transformed a polling unit into a dynamic marketing research division, pioneering multivariate data analysis, psychographic segmentation, and media audience measurement in Belgium. He later led the European network of INRA (International Research Associates) and in 1989 founded INRA-ECO in Brussels, a centre dedicated to the coordination of multinational studies, serving major international clients across more than twenty countries. Beyond his own organisations, Jean served as President of ESOMAR, helping to define the ethical and technical standards of a global profession. He also co-founded and presided over the Belgian Marketing & Management Association (BMMA) for nearly two decades, and taught at the Solvay Business School (ULB) from 1970 until retirement, earning the title of Professor Émérite. Those who worked with Jean remember above all his fierce intellectual passion — a relentless drive to understand human behaviour through the lens of innovative research techniques. He approached every study as an opportunity to uncover something genuinely new about how people think, perceive, and decide. That pursuit of deeper understanding was, for him, both a professional discipline and a personal conviction. He is deeply mourned by his family, his many former colleagues, and the global research community he helped shape. Condolences: https://lnkd.in/e4mQXyNc
