Sustainability has always been at the core of who we are, and this year we’re committed to helping employees better understand our long-standing efforts while encouraging sustainable practices across our Latin American farms and North American offices. 🌱💚   In May, we focused on soil management and composting by sharing how sustainability shows up in our everyday work. At Finca El Muelle, pineapple crowns from the fields are composted and reused to help nourish the soil, turning what would be wasted into something valuable. The Dole Fresh Fruit Company Fruit & Dole Food Company teams in our Charlotte office have begun a composting program in collaboration with Crown Town Compost and have already successfully diverted 197 lbs. of food waste! On top of all that, we hosted a virtual trivia event to help employees learn more about landfill waste and easy ways to reduce food waste at home.   The learning isn’t done yet!
