Supporting the largest dam expansion in U.S. history with Doka formwork. 🚀 At the Gross Reservoir in Colorado, the existing dam is being raised by 40 meters to increase water storage capacity. The structure steps back and widens with each lift, which requires a formwork setup that can be adjusted precisely while keeping the workflow consistent. The project involves placing around 554,000 m³ of RCC and 69,000 m³ of conventional concrete, making material logistics and continuous concreting a key factor on site. Together with the project team, Doka developed a formwork solution with horizontal adjustability to maintain tie spacing along the dam face. A combination of custom and standard girder formwork, along with Automatic climbing formwork Xclimb 60, Framed formwork Framax S Xlife panels, and suspended platforms, supports a steady construction rhythm with lifts of 1.2 m per day and continuous operation on site. 🏗️ This approach reflects top performance in everything we do, supporting reliable progress on a complex structure. A big thank you to all teams involved for the good cooperation on site. 🤝 More about the project here 👇: https://lnkd.in/dFJzsDv2 #Doka #Formwork #Infrastructure #Construction #WeMakeItWork
