A candidate has every right to know which company they're talking about. So tell them. Things we're done seeing in recruitment part 4. On a first screening call, just name the client. The candidate wants to know who it is and whether they want to be introduced or not. That's their call to make. It still surprises us how often it goes the other way. Recruiters talking to a candidate, then putting them forward to a company they've heard nothing about. There's no good reason to keep that hidden. Name the client early and you start the conversation on trust instead of guesswork.
