Throughout his time at Rice, Nathaniel Boateng focused on more than academics. He focused on people. As highlighted in Rice's Senior Spotlight, Nathaniel built community across campus through mentoring, leadership, and service, always seeking ways to help others succeed. Whether through the Rice Black Men's Association, career advising, writing workshops, or coaching fellow students, he consistently showed up for others and worked to leave Rice better than he found it. One of the ways Nathaniel invested in others was through Doerr's Coaching Skills for Leaders program. By learning coaching skills such as deep listening, powerful questioning, and helping others discover their own solutions, he gained tools that will serve him far beyond graduation. As Nathaniel prepares for a future as a physician-scientist, we know the empathy, curiosity, and coaching mindset he developed at Rice will continue to shape the way he leads, serves, and cares for others. We're proud to have been a small part of his leadership journey. Congratulations, Nathaniel! We can't wait to see the impact you'll make in the world. #RiceUniversity #DoerrInstitute #LeadershipDevelopment #CoachingSkills #FutureLeaders #RiceOwls #StudentLeadership #ClassOf2026 #LeadershipJourney
