Resilience Matters at the EIT RawMaterials Summit 2026 — from strategy to execution in Europe’s critical raw materials transition At this year’s Summit, the discussions reflected a noticeable shift in Europe’s critical raw materials attitude and landscape. The debate is becoming more operational, and questions around critical raw materials revolve around how projects can realistically be financed, permitted, developed and translated into industrial and socio-economic value. At the same time, it is equally clear that this transformation will not happen overnight. We are still at the early stages of a demanding journey. But compared to only a year ago, the momentum is changing noticeably. DMT GROUP pleased to contribute to these discussions in Brussels with Jens-Peter Lux, Božana Barušić and Knut Ansgar Hirsch. As DMT, part of the wider TÜV NORD GROUP, we see our role particularly in independent and neutral technical advisory, assessment and de-risking across the raw materials value chain for developers, investors, lenders, governments and industrial stakeholders — from exploration and feasibility through to technical due diligence, lender support, ESG considerations and project implementation. What matters is not ideology or short-term narratives. What matters are robust data, technical feasibility, transparent risk assessment, smart investment solutions, realistic implementation pathways and long-term viability. As Jens-Peter Lux, Managing Director DMT, put it: “Resilience matters. Europe’s prosperity and competitiveness will be secured through technically sound projects, trusted partnerships, responsible implementation and the ability to turn strategy into operational reality. Independent and fact-based de-risking will play a crucial role in accelerating this transition and creating trust in the new self-conception of the raw materials sector in Europe.” Many thanks to Bernd Schäfer, Andreas Klossek and the entire EIT RawMaterials RawMaterials team for bringing the European raw materials community together. The conversations in Brussels showed clearly: there is still a great deal to do, but Europe is on the move! #ResilienceMatters #CriticalRawMaterials #StrategicAutonomy #DueDiligence #DeRisking #Glückauf
