This is something we’ve seen play out more than once: a property manager reaches out about something small. Nothing urgent. Just something that needs to get handled. It gets acknowledged, but then it kind of lingers. Maybe it’s “in progress,” maybe it just gets lost in the shuffle. A few days later, they follow up. Then again. At that point, it’s not really about the issue anymore. It’s about having to ask twice. Most property managers are actually pretty reasonable. They know things come up and buildings aren’t perfect. What they don’t want is to keep chasing things down. We try to stay ahead of that at DMS. Make sure someone owns it, follow through, and close things out so it doesn’t keep coming back around.
