Most facility emergencies didn’t start as emergencies. They were small things that sat too long. A leak that didn’t get flagged early. A repair that kept getting pushed. Something that was acknowledged but never really closed out. At the time, none of it felt urgent. That’s usually the pattern. It’s not one big miss, it’s a few small ones that stack up. At DMS, we try to stay ahead of that with regular site walks, clear ownership, and actually following things through to completion so they don’t come back around.
