It was an honor to welcome Bailey White from the office of Rep. Suzan DelBene to Seattle Children’s Research Institute this week! 🏛️🔬🦠 We had a fantastic opportunity to showcase the groundbreaking work happening in our labs and, more importantly, to discuss the critical role that dedicated pediatric research centers play in shaping the future of children’s health. During the visit, we focused on a few vital themes: 🧬The Beginning of the End of Childhood Disease: How our specialized research accelerates the journey from bench to manufacturing in our Cure Factory to bedside—specifically for pediatric patients who need it most. Adam Beebe Stephanie Mgebroff 🦟Global Impact from Seattle: Home to the largest pediatric infectious disease research center in the U.S., CGIDR is leading the charge to fight infectious diseases- by putting kids first, not as an afterthought. Alexis Kaushansky 🧪 Inspiring Future Innovators: We proudly showcased our science discovery lab and mobile vans. By bringing hands-on STEM education directly to local schools and communities, we are breaking down barriers to science and cultivating the next generation of researchers and healthcare leaders. Amanda Jones A huge thank you to the teams that made this possible, including Taylor Benavente & Dana Robinson Slote, M.A.. We look forward to continuing this important dialogue! 💡 #PediatricResearch #ChildHealth #SeattleChildrens #ScienceAdvocacy #HealthcareInnovation #CuresForKids #Immunotherapy
