We've achieved a landmark victory for Seven.One Entertainment Group before the Bavarian Higher Administrative Court (BayVGH). In a significant decision on the interpretation of the 2021 German Interstate Treaty on Gambling (Glücksspielstaatsvertrag 2021 – GlüStV 2021) the Court held that the legal definition of gambling includes a materiality threshold (de minimis limit). Thus, entertaining 50-cent prize games on the internet, in which the stake is capped at a maximum of ten euros per hour even in the case of multiple participation, do not constitute unlawful public gambling but rather permissible entertainment games.
