Final Year UCL Medical Student | iBSc (Hons) in Surgical Sciences

After passing my medical school finals, I was lucky enough to do a 6 week ophthalmology elective in Australia, at Sydney Retina and Strathfield Retina Clinic. Here, I attended clinics and was involved in research projects with students from the University of Sydney. I had the amazing opportunity to be trained as an image grader for OCT images of neovascular age-related macular degeneration at Sydney Photography and Angiography Reading Centre. A big thank you to my supervisors Dr Long Phan, Sarrvesa Hari Vijay Singh and Dr Hemal Mehta for this fantastic learning opportunity. Looking forward to continued work with this team as I begin my specialised foundation programme training at North Middlesex Hospital!
