If you are planning to come to Dubai for a job search, please think twice. The reality of the UAE job market is very different from what you see on Linkedin. Talent alone is often not enough. In most cases, strong internal references play a major role in getting hired. Without the right connections, your chances can be extremely limited. Linkedin posts about "we're hiring" or "reach out to me" rarely translate into real help. Many people do not respond, and even past colleagues may not support you as expected. Luck plays a very small role - maybe 1%. The rest depends on who you know inside the organization. So my honest advice: • Don't travel to the UAE for job hunting without a solid reference. • Secure a genuine contact or referral before making the move. • Avoid relying purely on online applications or social media promises.
