Ontario's transition to full EPR for paper and packaging - the largest recycling transition ever undertaken in Canada - was completed January 1, 2026. The accepted material list now applies uniformly across the province. In Alberta, 2026 is the first year requiring verified supply reporting data. Not self-reported. Not estimated. Verified.
