DIU is fundamentally reshaping supply chains for national security. Our goal is clear: ensure a resilient and secure sUAS domestic supply chain by eliminating components, subcomponents, and raw materials sourced from covered countries—principally China—at every tier. The risk is immediate: China already restricts UAS component exports, making a contested supply chain a present danger, not a hypothetical one. Through the four phases of DIU’s Drone Dominance Program (DDP), requirements will progressively tighten toward favoring U.S.-sourced and manufactured systems.
