For a long time, we have told ourselves a simple story about innovation. Competition drives progress. The strongest ideas survive. Efficiency wins. But when you look at nature, the picture becomes more complicated. Some of the most important innovations in the history of life emerged through cooperation. Complex cells, ecosystems, fungal networks, even the stability of entire environments depend on connections between very different actors. In this episode of the Return on Innovation podcast with Anne Schloesser from hy Consulting Group, we talk about what organizations can learn from these systems. We discuss why resilience often depends on diversity and redundancy, what coral reefs can teach us about efficiency, how cooperation and competition interact, and what all of this means for organizations navigating AI driven transformation. I enjoyed this conversation very much. The episode was released today. Have a listen here 👉 https://lnkd.in/emC6GmJW
