Impressive, bold, Gen Z attractive social media resource from the Attorney General, Richard Hermer KC! Expressing crystal clear, unambiguous, enthusiastic support for the ECHR, underlining how we benefit from the rights it protects in our everyday lives. It is “our” rights it protects, we come together with another 45 European countries to ensure they are the best fit for our rapidly changing societies and it is unfathomable to give them up. My new book project discusses populism and European human rights but with a constructive mindset that looks for the creative solutions required to reignite enthusiasm for the European human rights project. It does that with the ambition to speak to young people but also to those feeling left behind, who may have drifted away from the understanding that they stand to benefit from human rights. The Attorney General’s comms offer a good illustration of the plain language and energy that we will need to turn things around.
