CEO at Sharebite
Following my near-death experience 11 years ago, every July has become a month of deep reflection and immense gratitude. I’ve recently had convos with CEOs who are going through rough patches in their entrepreneurial journeys, and thought I’d open up a bit here. Yesterday, we had our best day ever in Sharebite’s history. Last week: our best week ever. Last month: our best month ever. Last quarter: our best quarter ever. And this past year? Our best year ever. In just the last 12 months, we've hit several major milestones: - Ranked #56 on Inc. Magazine’s Inc. 5000 list (fastest growing private companies in the US) - Ranked #35 on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 (fastest growing tech companies in North America) - Ranked #35 on Fast Company's Best Workplaces for Innovators We've also grown our revenue 20x over the last 3-4 years — all without adding a net new headcount. The charts below only tell part of the story: the growth, the momentum, the operational discipline. But what they don't show is the rest of it… The heavy and uncertain times. The setbacks. The mistakes. The disappointments we had to recover from, fast. We learned from every single one of those experiences. We grew because of them. And we emerged stronger, and remain that way, together. If I’ve learned anything from this journey and my general life experiences — it’s that the universe disguises growth as failure, and progress as pain. To me, this isn’t a story about success — it’s about unrelenting resilience. “You don’t build strength by feeling powerful, you build it by showing up when you feel powerless.” This is the first time I've ever shared a chart like this, or any public update about our progress. Not just to celebrate. But to hopefully encourage fellow founders, CEOs, company builders, and others who are in the thick of it — going through difficult times and quietly suffering through the battles they will never tell anyone about. Keep going. I hope you prevail. To the Sharebite team: I'm incredibly grateful for all of you — for believing, for sticking together, and for staying obsessively focused on our mission to get every worker in America fed. Our vision to build a better future for working Americans has never felt more important, or more within reach — all because you keep showing up. 🙏🏽
