Many organisations think transformation programmes are designed to create change. They're not. They reveal what was already broken. That’s the uncomfortable truth. The technology doesn't create dysfunction. The transformation programme simply shines a light on it. Poor decision-making. Confused ownership. Siloed teams. Conflicting priorities. Weak governance. Slow leadership responses. These problems existed long before the programme started. Transformation just makes them impossible to hide. This is why so many programmes appear to "cause" disruption. In reality, they're exposing operational weaknesses that have been sitting beneath the surface for years. The organisations that succeed aren't necessarily the ones with the best technology. They're the ones willing to confront what the programme reveals. Because transformation is not a technology test. It's an organisational stress test. And under pressure, every weakness becomes visible. The question isn't whether transformation will expose problems. The question is whether leadership teams are prepared for what they'll discover.
