Catalin Horomnea has just become the only Romanian to hold two Red Dot Design Awards🥇, winning for the second year running with Linevo, a glass railing system that strips away the profiles and joints a traditional balustrade relies on and replaces them with one continuous surface. The Red Dot isn't decided on renders. Every entry travels to Germany, where the physical product goes through direct testing (materials, finish, functionality, safety) before a jury with expertise across design fields scores it. Linevo also removes the horizontal surfaces where dust and water usually collect, keeping facades cleaner for longer, and adapts to uses ranging from privacy screens to windbreaks on elevated terraces. The first Red Dot came in 2025, for Versatika, the filomuro door developed entirely in Romania and now selling in markets including the Netherlands, Germany, and France.
