As a remote first team spread across Cologne, Berlin and Munich, we regularly take the opportunity to meet in person and spend time together. This time, our team meetup brought us to Munich. In addition to internal sessions, cultural inspiration at Pinakothek der Moderne and unbelievably good food, we also seized the opportunity to spend time with the local ecosystem. One of the highlights was visiting the Munich Urban Colab, where we explored more about the ecosystem around TUM, UnternehmerTUM and the TUM Venture Labs in depth. A big thank you to Inga vom Holtz for organizing the visit, and to Mauricio Fleischer Acuña and Tobias Döringer for taking the time to walk us through the ecosystem and share insights into how the Venture Labs support founders across a wide range of disciplines. From AI and robotics to biotech, digital health and climate tech, it was impressive to see how research, entrepreneurship and venture building come together in this environment. The density of talent, technical excellence and founder ambition emerging from the TUM ecosystem continues to establish Munich as one of Europe’s most dynamic innovation hubs. Thank you again for the warm welcome. We look forward to staying close to the ecosystem and its founders. w/Peter Richarz, Fabian von Trotha, Kim Duc Quyen Tran, Dr. Cihat Cengiz, Maximilian Conrad, Caner Uslu, Yasemin Sezer
