🏆 ELROB 2026: Second consecutive victory for Diehl Defence For the second time in a row, Diehl Defence has secured the first place in the MULE scenario at this year's ELROB (European Land Robot Trial) in Thun (CH) – Europe's most demanding and established competition for field robotics and unmanned systems. Using the Autonomy Kit PLATON on the Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) ZIESEL, the team succeeded against 11 competitors. This achievement once again underscores Diehl Defence's expertise in the field of off-road autonomy for both unmanned and manned systems. The MULE scenario requires the UGV to follow a person autonomously, memorize the route, and then to navigate back independently. Finally, the UGV has to navigate the track again on its own. During this, the system must successfully manage various obstacles along the way, such as barbed wire, dead ends, and watercourses.
