💡 Security and defence research: DLR and Diehl Defence expand their cooperation   The German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft-und Raumfahrt e.V., DLR) and Diehl Defence are expanding their collaboration in the field of security and defence research. Both sides signed a cooperation agreement on June 12, 2026, at ILA in Berlin. By doing so, DLR and Diehl Defence are combining their expertise to research and develop innovative high-tech solutions for defence technology.   This collaboration focuses on the design and testing of technologies for missile systems, networked systems of manned and unmanned platforms, hypersonic applications, and drone defence, as well as operational analyses and concepts. This move allows both parties to expand their existing joint project activities and to continue their successful collaboration to date.
