The rarities of Milano Fashion Library : June 2003 Permanent Food - Vogue Italia The magazine was born from the project and collaboration of Maurizio Cattelan with Paola Manfrin and Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster: "A second generation magazine with a free copyright" is the phrase that defines it and is hidden in every issue. Founded in 1996, 15 issues were printed up to 2007, for each of which there is a special edition differentiated from the others by the artist and with particular paper converting characteristics. It is a cannibal magazine, i.e. made up of sequences of images extracted from other Italian and international magazines or from pages torn and then reassembled into a new sequence, based on the principle according to which the coupling of two previously unconnected images gives rise to a new meaning. There are no articles in the magazine and the texts are very rare, mostly quotations.
