Deputy Head of Group Representative Office at TÜV NORD GROUP

Ambassadors' Roundtable: Future Mobility for Early Birds 6:45 a.m. at the Federal Foreign Office - we only do this for the Ambassadors' Roundtable! Once a year, TÜV NORD GROUP's Team-Berlin organizes an event on a current topic together with the Auswärtiges Amt (Federal Foreign Office) Germany for the diplomatic missions in Berlin. After several years of discussing energy security, hydrogen and resilient supply chains, today was about a “traditional TÜV topic”🚗: "The Vision of Future Mobility in our World - Autonomous Driving and the Regulation Behind it". Our colleague Katrin Leicht from TÜV NORD Mobilität GmbH & Co. KG explained the technical side of autonomous vehicles and addressed questions and doubts about safety and connectivity in her presentation. Richard Goebelt from TÜV-Verband then discussed international regulatory mechanisms and the multi-layered concept of trust in the vehicle sector. Complex topic, thanks to both for breaking it down for us! Lessons learned: 🚘 Although there seems to be no progress in autonomous driving - so many projects are up and running successfully, including in Europe 🚗 Hamburg is the place to be when it comes to autonomous vehicles 🚃 The Maltese love cars more than any other nation, even though public transport is free Thanks to Daniel Müller, as always, for the great team work; to Christian Seiffert for the cooperation and support; and to all participants for the interest - see you on July 1 for "Vibrations at Tierpark"!
