We’ve expanded our partnership with Cathay Cargo to increase our combined commitment to sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in 2026. This year, we've renewed the agreement through DHL Express, while DHL Global Forwarding has also begun using SAF while shipping with Cathay Cargo. The total committed SAF volume under this partnership is over 13,440 tonnes — more than four times the amount recorded last year, equivalent to approximately 41,710 tonnes of lifecycle CO₂e emissions reduced. The renewal of our partnership comes at a crucial time when we look ambitiously towards scaling SAF adoption. As part of the agreement, blended SAF will now be uplifted on flights operated by Air Hong Kong, Cathay’s wholly owned subsidiary, as well as Cathay Cargo flights departing from select Asian and European airports, strengthening Hong Kong as an SAF hub.
