🌍🚢 Giant move in the Middle East: Delivering an 870 MT Reactor Vessel In the face of the ongoing geopolitical challenges, the DHL Industrial Projects team recently completed the demanding transport of a massive reactor vessel from the Port of Duqm to a project site. With the cargo weighing 870 MT and spanning nearly 45 meters in length, the operation required meticulous planning, expert engineering, and effective management of all stakeholders to ensure safe operations and timely delivery. Our experienced team in Oman managed the full scope of work, from surveying delivery route, to executing this specialized transport on conventional multi-axle equipment. Due to the extreme dimensions of the cargo, we deployed a 25-axle modular trailer in a 4-file configuration. To enable the transportation, civil works also needed to be planned and executed as per the project schedule, including road reinforcement and the temporary relocation of street furniture to accommodate the vessel’s immense dimensions. Overcoming these challenges, our experienced team managed to execute the project seamlessly by ensuring all government and SEZAD approvals were obtained on time, and providing continuous supervision from the vessel’s crane to the final delivery point, to our customer’s full satisfaction.
